Chapman Psychological Services
About Me
My name is Dr. Norah Chapman and I am a Licensed Psychologist in Kentucky as well as an Associate Professor of Counseling Psychology. I earned my Ph.D in Counseling Psychology from the University of Kentucky in 2013 and independently licensed in Kentucky since 2015. I became an approved PsyPact provider in 2024, providing me authorization to practice in states who are affiliated with this legislation. Since that time, I have worked at Spalding University as first an Assistant Professor and now an Associate Professor and Associate Chair of the School of Professional Psychology at Spalding University. In 2023, I became certified in perinatal mental health through Postpartum Support International. I am passionate about a number of psychological services, education and training, and giving back to my community.

I specialize in working with women through the journey to motherhood, including concerns related to fertility, pregnancy and infant loss, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, and postpartum issues. I also work with clients who have various anxiety, depression, and adjustment concerns. No matter what, I hope to create a space where clients can share their needs openly and honestly, to get their needs met to lead a life that feels meaningful and whole.
Second, I am an educator at heart. I come from a long line of educators in my family who are passionate about extending educational opportunities. Not only do I want to educate clients and healthcare providers on their concerns, resources, and supports, I want to give back the excellent education and training experiences I received to future generations of psychologists. I supervise students and early career psychologists in developing their skills and styles to become an excellent psychologist in the future. In fact, along with my friends and colleague, we founded the Rowen Specialty Clinic for Women at Spalding University, where we both see women in need of care but also train other doctoral students in perinatal mental health assessment and treatment.
I have a heart for our community. I am the co-chair of Postpartum Support International Support Kentucky Chapter. Along with our team, we lead state level initiatives to spread the word about perinatal mental health needs and resources, to improve access to care for women and families in the Commonwealth. Last, but most importantly, is my family. My husband and I have a son and I am a stepmother to two young adult daughters. I am a survivor of pregnancy loss and birth trauma. While I center my work on what my clients bring in, I share these experiences generally when relevant to help validate and empathize with others going through a similar experience. While time to myself looks different these days, I enjoy spending time with my family, taking walks, doing yoga, and traveling when we can!

What state can I live in and access services with you?Good question! I am licensed in the state of Kentucky but I am also a PsyPact provider. What that means it that I can work with you if you have a residence in Kentucky or one of the states who has been approved to be part of legislation called PsyPact. That means, I can work with you if you live in one of the states indicated on this map: https://psypact.org/mpage/psypactmap.

What are your fees and how do you prefer to receive payment? You have a right from any healthcare provider to know what you are going to be charged ahead of time of service. I charge $130 per session. I ask clients at the end of the session for payment at that time, via debit, credit, or HRSA card. Because I am an Out of Network Provider, I am happy to provide a Super Bill that would allow clients to be reimbursed by insurance.
