Chapman Psychological Services
Education is at the Heart.
I come from a long line of educators, from my mom to my grandmother and beyond. I learned early in life that education and resources cannot be taken for granted - that it is privilege to receive and to provide. Therefore, providing education resources to the community are at the heart of what I do.
I am a full time Associate Professor, where I engage in training the next generation of psychologists. As part of that, I am also a researcher, teacher, administrator, and former director of a community based community mental health training clinic. I am passionate about taking the best of our science coupled with what clients and communities need into our world, to help provide engaging workshops, trainings, education, and consults to individuals, communities, and organizations. One of the perks of being involved in higher education is that I often have access to the latest research, teaching, and guidance that I am dedicated to passing along in engaging ways to those who could benefit.
Here are some common ways that my consultation and education services are utilized:
1) Psychological consults in:
-
Perinatal mental health issues
-
Routine outcome assessment implementation in clinical settings using Better Outcomes Now
-
Psychological assessment and evaluation of mental health conditions and disorders
2) Speaking events, workshops, and webinars on:
-
Perinatal mental health
-
Outcome assessment
-
Graduate training strategies
